Hello and welcome to Anna’s Art Club! If you’re here I can only assume that you are looking to add some more creativity to your life or getting started with your drawing skills, either way I’m so happy to have you here!
These tutorials are designed with everyone in mind, kids, teens adults and everything in between, however old you are it’s never too early or too late to learn something new or add creativity to your day. My hope is that these tutorials will bring families together to draw and create without the pressure of learning. Grab your children, your mum, your grandma or your dog and let’s draw together.
So for my first video, I wanted to do something simple and low pressure and my son suggested a robot as they’re currently his favourite thing. If you’re looking for a fun creative activity for a rainy day, this is a step-by-step drawing tutorial designed for the whole family to help you draw your very own robot, plus a free printable colouring page to go with it!

What You’ll need:
I’m using my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil with the app procreate to draw my robot but you can use anything you want! If you don’t have a tablet you will need…
- A pencil
- Colouring Pencils or Pens
- A black pencil/pen for the outline
- A piece of paper or sketch book
- A rubber
- A sharpener
Ready? Ok let’s do it! You can watch the tutorial here.

Prefer colouring to drawing? No problem!
I’ve created a free downloadable colouring sheet to go along with the video, perfect for kids’ craft sessions, classrooms, or creative downtime at home. I have added a timestamp to the video so that you can start the tutorial after the drawing is done. You can find the colours I used above if you want to use the same as me.
I’d love to see your robot drawings! Tag me on Instagram (or ask a grownup to do it for you) @Annaraedesign or email me at Anna@raedesign.co.uk. Don’t forget to subscribe to Anna’s Art Club for more drawing tutorials and printable goodies.
