August Shop Update: What’s new in my Etsy Stationery Shop this month?

Hello! So by the time you read this it will probably be September but I figure that’s how this will work anyway. I’ll create a blog post at the end of every month with a collection of all the new designs I did that month all in one place if I can, if there’s too many, like there is this month, it will just be my favourites.

August is a strange month because technically it’s Summer and you’d assume that I’d be designing bright sunshiny products but it’s actually the opposite. In business land, August or rather Summer in general, means Halloween and Christmas. I know, weird right? It’s difficult to get into the headspace to design spooky and cost content when it’s 30 degrees in your office and your thighs keep sticking to your computer chair.

Anyway, let’s get into my August Etsy stationery shop update...

Washing Basket Sticker Sheet & Household Chores/Bills Update

One of the first things on my list for August was to update and rebrand all of my household chore and household bills planner stickers.

While I was doing that it seemed silly to not add a few more while I was there and one of the new sheets I included was this very cute sheet of washing baskets for lights, whites, darks and colours.

I hope they help you get your laundry under control because I certainly need all the help I can get. Most of my laundry lives in shopper bags.

Halloween Sticker Advent Calendar

I'd love to say that this product was meticulously thought out but the truth is it was a random idea I had one day, thought my kids would like one and I figured I may as well see if it sells on the shop too.

Personalised Eco-Friendly Tote Bags

Ok so I can't actually remember if I listed my bags in July or August but I'll include them here anyway as I won't be doing a July update.

I have a few bags online now and most can be personalised as the idea is that these make a great gift. I definitely listed two of these bags in August as they are Halloween themed bags designed trick or treating. I sold my first one yesterday and it was so exciting!

Christmas Sticker Sheets

Right I know these aren't new, BUT hear me out! All of my Christmas kits were looking a bit dingy so they've all been updated to match the new branding, but also they now have additional sheets that match them with post it notes, arrows, little boxes etc. A complete Christmas spread!

I think this is my favourite of my Christmas kits though, there's just something about the combination of the red and the blue, it's so festive and cheerful and I love the gingerbread man included with this kit. This is the Jolly Holiday Sticker Kit and you can get your own here.

Cute Cat Art Print

So again this is an old product in my Etsy Shop that I've refreshed and updated along with all my other art prints. I think I'll give them one more go and see if these find their home, if not, on to plan B.

Out of all the prints I updated this collection of cat illustrations is my favourite because my own cat Millie does all of these. Millie is my first cat, I only ever had dogs growing up, and seeing the difference in their behaviours and personality has been fascinating. There is one I should add at some point, she loves catching drips from the tap at the moment, for hours! Get your print here.

My Christmas Journal Notebook

Another updated Christmas product and I'm really excited that this is already selling, in AUGUST. Especially when after spending hours hand drawing the pages in this journal, I only sold one last Christmas, so sad.

This year though it's had a bit of an update, the interior pages are no longer dated and it can be used for any Christmas. I removed the week days so it can be gifted and used next Christmas or even the one after that. So there you go, that's what I've been up to in August!

I haven't really felt like I've been doing much lately as the new products I've been making and listing have been minimal. The majority of the work I've been doing is lots of research and updating existing products and getting all my branding reorganised and ready for this website launch. I'm hoping now that it's all done I can start focusing my time and energy in creating cute stationery and planner stickers again.

Don't worry I have plenty of ideas for new products that will be available before Christmas and will make the best gifts!
